About Zano

What is Zano (ZANO)?

Zano is an open-source blockchain launched in 2019 for confidential payments and user-issued assets. ZANO is its native coin, used to pay network fees and participate in staking through compatible wallet software. The network also supports separately issued tokens called Confidential Assets. Those tokens have their own issuers and supply rules. This NonLogs listing is for native ZANO; it does not represent every asset created on the Zano blockchain.

What information does Zano conceal?

Ordinary Zano payments use stealth addresses, ring signatures and commitments to conceal recipient details, obscure the spent output, and hide amounts and asset types. Its Zarcanum staking design also supports hidden staking amounts. These features concern what an outside observer can infer from the chain. A recipient still knows about a payment they received. Zano also supports special auditable wallets for users who deliberately need to share verifiable records; privacy should not be described as an absolute for every wallet mode.

How does Zano secure its chain?

Zano's documented mainnet combines proof-of-work mining with proof-of-stake block production. Miners contribute computing work, and stakers participate using funds in a compatible wallet. The project announced Zenith, a proposed move to pure proof of stake, in July 2026. That announcement describes a development direction, not evidence that the current hybrid chain has already switched. Keeping a trading balance on NonLogs does not enroll that balance in a personal staking wallet.

How does ZANO supply change?

Zano has an uncapped supply. Its published specifications set a fixed reward of 1 ZANO per block, with a one-minute target interval, and burn transaction fees. Block rewards add coins while fee burning removes them. Supply falls only when burning exceeds new issuance; fee burning alone does not guarantee deflation. The project also discloses a historical premine of 3.69 million ZANO for development and related expenses, separate from ongoing mining and staking rewards.

What are Confidential Assets?

Confidential Assets are tokens issued on Zano that use its privacy mechanisms. A project can create an asset without launching a separate blockchain, but its economic promises still depend on its design and issuer. A token described as a stablecoin or a wrapped coin needs its own assessment of backing and redemption. Zano's transaction privacy does not prove those promises. Send only native ZANO to a NonLogs ZANO deposit address; Confidential Assets are separate tokens.

Where can I trade ZANO on NonLogs?

Use the available pairs below to open a ZANO market. The trading-pairs table below and charts on the trading pages show completed NonLogs trades in each pair's quote currency. Those market records do not include activity on Zano's own peer-to-peer exchange or other trading venues. The last-trade timestamp helps distinguish a recent price from one left by an older trade.
