About Tether Gold

What is Tether Gold (XAUt)?

Tether Gold is a token issued by TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V. The issuer describes each full XAUt as an ownership interest in one fine troy ounce of gold on a bar meeting the London Bullion Market Association's Good Delivery standard. It launched in 2020. NonLogs lists its Ethereum version under the symbol XAUT. The token's reference asset is gold, so its US-dollar value changes with the gold price and the price available in its market.

What is the difference between XAUt and physical gold?

XAUt can be divided and transferred on Ethereum while the underlying bars remain in custody. According to the issuer's information document, a Swiss custodian holds gold on behalf of token holders, with the issuer representing holders under a custody agreement. The document identifies the custodian as a related party. Allocation records connect tokens to bars. An Ethereum balance records the token holding; establishing the corresponding gold interest also depends on those records, custody arrangements and contractual terms.

How do issuance and redemption work?

The issuer manages XAUt issuance and redemption against its gold arrangement. Direct purchases and redemptions require eligibility and identity verification. Physical redemption is for whole bars, with delivery offered within Switzerland. Eligible customers may instead ask the issuer to arrange a possible sale of the redeemed bar and remit the proceeds, less fees. A fractional token does not entitle its holder to immediate delivery of a fraction of a bar. Current minimums and charges appear in the issuer's fee schedule.

What risks should a holder understand?

Gold prices can fall, and XAUt's exchange price can differ from the gold value it represents. Redemption depends on the issuer and custodian fulfilling their obligations and on the holder meeting the applicable requirements. The issuer's documents describe circumstances in which it may delay or suspend redemption and attempt to freeze tokens in external wallets. Ethereum's consensus verifies blockchain transactions; it does not inspect the gold, settle custody disputes or guarantee a particular redemption outcome.

What should I check before transferring XAUT?

Match the Ethereum contract in the facts panel and use the network and address on your XAUT deposit page. XAUT is NonLogs' spelling of the issuer's XAUt symbol. Tether's dollar token USDT has a different contract and represents a different asset. Ordinary XAUT transfers are public Ethereum token transactions, with fees paid in ETH. A personal wallet sending an ordinary transaction therefore needs ETH as well as the XAUT balance it intends to transfer.

Where can I trade XAUT on NonLogs?

Open a pair from the markets below. Each price in the trading-pairs table below comes from completed NonLogs trades and may differ from a gold-market quotation or the issuer's direct purchase price. Check the current orders and last-trade time before placing a trade. Selling XAUT on NonLogs credits the pair's quote currency after execution; it does not request physical delivery or ask the issuer to sell a gold bar.
